Warping
Yarn is beamed under even tension — the pile only stands as straight as the warp behind it.

Water jet weaving
A jet of water carries the weft across the warp — no shuttle, no rubbing, no marks on the pile. Velvet is woven face-to-face as a double cloth, then cut apart into two matched rolls.

Shearing & brushing
The pile is sheared level and brushed upright so the surface reads as one unbroken field.

What is undyed velvet fabric?
Undyed velvet is velvet in its loom state — woven, sheared and brushed, but with no dye, print or chemical finish applied. In the textile trade it is also called greige or loom-state velvet. Because nothing has been added to the pile, it takes dye evenly and can be finished exactly to a buyer's own specification.
Who buys undyed velvet, and what is it used for?
Dye houses, garment and home-textile brands, upholstery converters and exporters buy undyed velvet as a base fabric. They dye it to their own shades and finish it for apparel, dresses, blouses, curtains, cushions and upholstery — keeping full control of colour and hand-feel.
What weight and width do you weave?
Our standard undyed velvet runs 150–180 GSM. Widths, roll lengths and exact construction are confirmed on your quotation — send us your requirement and we will match it or advise the closest article.
Why is your velvet woven on water jet looms?
On a water jet loom the weft is carried across the warp by a jet of water instead of a shuttle. There is no shuttle rubbing the fabric, so the pile stays even and unmarked, and the loom runs at high production speed with consistent quality roll after roll.
What is the composition of the velvet?
Our undyed velvet is 100% polyester, which is what water jet weaving is designed for and what gives the fabric its bright dye uptake, dimensional stability and durability.

The mill is in Surat, Gujarat — India's largest synthetic textile hub. We supply mills, converters and brands across India and export worldwide; samples are couriered internationally.
